To become certified as a West Virginia x-ray technician, a license must be obtained from the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners. Before an individual is eligible to apply for a license, they must successfully complete an accredited radiology technician program and pass the West Virginia state exam administered by AART.
